Mary Reid (nee: Mannion-Manning), passed away on June 18, 2012, at Care One in East Brunswick. She was born on May 7, 1929, in New York City, grew up in Perth Amboy and has been a resident of Edison since 1949. Mary was employed by the United States Postal Service in Edison (Kilmer) as a phone operator for 20 years, retiring in 1991.
Predeceasing Mary was her husband, Alfred, in 2006; daughter, Eileen Gravish; and 7 brothers. She is survived by daughters: Noreen Skinner and her husband Schueiler of Frenchtown; Colleen Reid of Raleigh, NC; Laureen Vitale and her husband Arthur of Tabernacle, NJ; and Darleen Reid of North Brunswick. Also surviving are grandchildren: Stacey, Gabrielle, Jesse, Nicole, Tiffany, Brittany and Anthony; great grandson, Anthony; nieces, Dolores and Kathy; great-nephew Nathan, grand-niece, Norah; great-great nephew Curren and several beloved cousins.
Funeral services will be held 10 am on Friday June 22, 2012 from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave, Fords. A 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy will be at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Perth Amboy. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm
