Obituary

Mary Marx Nyhan 82, of Newton, entered into eternal rest Sunday at Bristol Glen Assisted Living in Newton.

She was born in North Hampton, PA, and lived in South Amboy for 7 years before moving to Newton. Mary was a secretary with the Wayne Board of Education for 25 years before retiring in 2003, and was a member of the NJEA.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1983, 2 brothers: August and Karl Marx; and 1 sister, Helen. She is survived by 2 sons: Thomas and his wife Patrice of Little Egg Harbor and Robert and his wife Ann Marie of Sparta; her daughter, Patricia Bodak and her husband Gary of Sayreville; 7 grandchildren: Bryan, Michael, Matthew, Amy, Patrick, Kaitlyn and Ashley; 4 brothers: John, Herman, Rudy, and Frank Marx; 1 sister, Rose Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 25, at 8:30 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm.
