Mary A. Logan (nee Burke) died peacefully at home on January 3, 2022, at the age of 99. Born to Patrick J. and Rose Burke, she was a life-long resident of Perth Amboy. She attended St. Mary's grade school and high school and the Drake Business School. Mary was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a Member of its Altar Rosary Society. She was also a Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Commodore John Barry Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, serving in several leadership positions.
Mary worked for several employers such as Richmond Radiator, Frigid Freeze, Abarry Steel, Perth Amboy Public Schools, the City of Perth Amboy and Flynn and Son Funeral Home. She also ran the kitchen for St. Mary's Bingo for many, many years. Her most important job was raising her family to whom she was devoted.
Mary was predeceased by her parents; her siblings; her husband, Charles P. Logan; and her son, Charles T. Logan. Mary was the last survivor of nine siblings.
Mary is survived by her son, Patrick and his wife, Ann of Princeton; her son, Brian and his wife, Bonnie of Toms River; and her daughter, Nancy and her husband, Raymond Kawka of Fords; and her grandson, Raymond Kawka, Jr. also of Fords.
The family and Mary in particular were blessed to have Elizabeth Rajski come into their lives to help them. Elizabeth truly is a gift from God.
Visitation will be held at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ, on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 8:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 AM at Blessed John Paul II Parish, St. Stephen's Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
In keeping with Mary's generous spirit, donations to a charity of your choice are appreciated.
