Mary Jane Layden, 91, of Woodbridge, passed peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at JFK Haven Hospice, Edison.
Born and raised in Perth Amboy, she had resided in Woodbridge for over 55 years.
She retired many years ago, after over 40 years as a supervisor with NJ Bell in Woodbridge, and was a member of the Perth Amboy General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul W. Layden, Mary Jane leaves behind her six nieces and nephews, Jane Ramsay-Sarjeant, of Washington Depot, CT, Laura Ramsay–Costa of St. Thomas, V.I, Anne Kukulski, Paul Mundy and Margaret Gorman, all of South Amboy, and Laura Fosselman of Hattisburg, MS, along with her many great nieces and great nephews and her faithful cat "Buttons".
Funeral services will be on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 1pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863. Visitation will be Monday, from 12 pm to 1pm. Entombment will follow at Good Shephard Mausoleum at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
