Mary C. Kazimir 103, formerly of Perth Amboy entered into eternal rest, Monday May 13, 2013 at Francis E. Parker Nursing Care Residence at River Road in Piscataway. She was born in Bellaire, Ohio, and lived most of her life in Perth Amboy before moving to her daughter and son-in-law's home in Milltown, four years ago.
Mary and her late husband Michael owned Mickey's Tavern on Brace Avenue in Perth Amboy from 1952 to 1978.
She was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish at Holy Spirit Church in Perth Amboy. After their retirement Mary and Michael traveled extensively. She was an avid sports fan of the Mets, Yankees, and Giants. One of her greatest joys was attending her grandsons many athletic games.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Michael J. Kazimir in 2003, her sister Vincia Losi, and brothers Joseph, Anthony, and William Nemec. She is survived by her daughter Karol Ann Ternyila and her husband John of Milltown, her sister Ann Benz of Elizabeth, grandsons Brian and Jeffrey, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday May 17, 2013 at 9 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a 9:30 am funeral liturgy at Holy Spirit Church. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday 4 pm to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to the Milltown Rescue Squad Inc.
