Mary Elizabeth " Liz" Arndt, 82, of Jackson, passed peacefully in her sleep, on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Chelsea Solana at Marlboro, NJ.

Born in Irvington, she was formerly of Union, NJ, and had resided in Jackson for over 10 years.

She was a retired bank manager for many years with Kearny Bank, formerly known as Pulaski Savings Bank in Springfield, NJ.

She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, loved making crafts, playing bingo, and going to Atlantic City.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald R. Arndt, who died in March of 2010, and her brother, Ernest Schmid.

She leaves behind her two beloved daughters, Laurie Galindo and her husband Michael of Toms River, NJ, Jeannie Reiser, and her partner Mike of Monroe along with two cherished grandchildren, Raymond Galindo of Toms River and Victoria Thompson and her husband Brian of Easton, PA. Also, a brother, Howard Schmid of Goshen, NY and his wife Susan along with Helene Schmid of Hillside, NJ.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863, concluding with a funeral service at 4 pm.

A private cremation service will follow.
