Mary Beth Fitzgerald Drotar, 65, of Metuchen entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Barbara E. Cheung Hospice in Edison.

Born in Corning, NY, she lived most of her life in Metuchen. Mary Beth attended Rutgers Prep and graduated from Metuchen High School in 1964. She completed her post secondary education at Amherst College, graduating in 1968 with a degree in English. She worked as a Librarian at Harvard University and enjoyed painting in her spare time.

Mary Beth was predeceased by her parents Dr. Vincent and Betty Fitzgerald. She is survived by her Aunt Lucille Mentzer, cousins, and her guardian Ursula Egan and family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012, at 9:45 am at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, followed by a 10:15 am Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave., Colonia.
