Mary B. Deegan, 92, of Perth Amboy, passed away on Thursday, January 03, 2019, surrounded by her family at home.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, to Catherine and George Brew.  Mary was raised in Brooklyn and was a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College with a BA in English.  She was a Production Assistant for Dorothy Killgallen Radio Show in NYC for a few years before meeting her husband, Honorable Joseph Deegan, and moving to Perth Amboy in 1951.

Mary was a devout Catholic belonging to St. Mary's Church in Perth Amboy.  She was a member of the Ladies Rosary Society and was involved with all activities at the church.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Honorable Joseph Deegan (2015); three brothers, John, George and Jean Brew.

She is survived by her children, Jeff Deegan, Maura Haurie and her husband Keith, Sarah Loman and her husband John, and Sheila Deegan-Cleaver and her husband Daniel; five grandchildren, Seamus, Caitlin, Liam, Maya and Peter, and her great-grandchild Colm.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019, at 11 AM, from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, followed by an 11:30 AM mass at Saint John Paul II Parish / St. Stephen's Church, Perth Amboy.  Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Perth Amboy.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
