Mary P. Chiarella, 95, of Hackettstown, passed away on October 23, 2016, at the House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown. She was born on November 1, 1920, in Tiriolo, Italy. She was the owner of the Park Sweet Shop in Woodbridge for 30 years. She resided in Woodbridge for 55 years before moving to Florida in 1999. She volunteered at Roosevelt Hospital in Edison. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Holy Rosary Seniors.

She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Chiarella, in 2003.

Mary is survived by two sons, Francis Chiarella and his wife, Maria, of Lavallette and Robert Chiarella and his wife, Cathy, of Hallstead, PA; daughter Kathleen and Carl Boenig of Port Murray; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Anthony Paone, of Colonia; and a sister, Angelina Korchna, of Hamilton Square.

Visitation will be at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863, on Friday 3-8 pm. Funeral services will begin Saturday 10 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Holy Rosary Church. Interment will be in Holy Rosary cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or to Seeing Eyes of Morristown.
