Mary Gene Boykin,73, of Perth Amboy entered into eternal rest Wednesday May 31, 2011, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.

Mary Gene was born in Brundidge, AL and has resided in Perth Amboy for the past 56 years. She was a Supervisor in the Laundry Deptartment at the Marriott Hotel in Edison for 15 years, prior to retiring in 2003. Mary Gene was a member of the Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ in Perth Amboy.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, J.K. Boykin, in 2000; her son, Ronald Boykin; her brother and sister, Cleveland Frazier and Mae Williams. She is survived by her children: Orline, Christine, Yvonne, Darla, Olivia, Cheryl, Estelle, and James; her brother, Arthur; sisters: Artis, Ernestine, and Emma Lou; 21 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren; her special cousin, Helen Johnson; life-long friend, Viola Pate; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011, at 11:00 am at the Community Church of Iselin, 15 Montaque Avenue, Iselin. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00-11:00 am. Interment will be in Alpine Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy.
