Mary Bernas, 87, of Fords, passed away at home on May 8, 2023. She was born on June 30, 1935, in New York. Mary was a Salesclerk for Alexander's Department Store in Menlo Park and also a School Bus Driver for George Dapper, Inc. She led an active lifestyle, enjoyed traveling, playing cards, swimming, and going to movies and shows. Mary was a member of Temple Emmanuel and the Colonia Seniors.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Coon.

Mary is survived by a daughter, Laura Bernas of, Port Richie, FL; three sons: Larry Bernas, and his wife, Carole Hessemer, of Grandview Heights, OH; David Bernas, and Lisa Morganti of Manalapan; and Jeffrey Bernas, and his wife, Lori, of Hightstown; five grandchildren: Jake, Trevor, Jordan, Lenny and Lilly; a brother, Thomas McCormack of Newport Beach, CA; and first husband, Arnold Bernas of West Windsor.

The family will receive mourners on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 9:30am.  A Funeral Service will begin at 10:15 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Interment will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary's name to the American Cancer Society.
