Mary Aponte, 80, of Edison, entered into eternal rest December 30, 2020, at her daughter's home in Edison.  She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and has resided in Edison for the past 53 years.  Mary was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Perth Amboy. She was a former warden, youth group leader, food pantry coordinator, acolyte mom, acolyte, Lay Eucharistic minister, mother's guild member and much more.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Joshua Francisco Aponte and her brothers: Joseph, Efrain, and Milton Lamberty.

Mary is survived by her husband, Francisco; her children: Angelica Franklin and her husband, Keith, of Somerset; Diane Durando and her husband, Dominick; Thomas and Francisco Jr., all of Edison; her sisters, Hedy Lamberty of Keyport and Nilsa Aguilar of Florida; her grandchildren: Kyle Aponte and his wife, Lydia; Tyler; Riley and Thomas Aponte Jr.; Sarah Cullinane and her, husband Ryan; Dominick J. Durando; Emma Durando; Stephen and Angelica Aponte; and her great-grandchildren: Alex, Aiden, Joey, and Jaxon Aponte.

All services are private at this time with a memorial service to be scheduled at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.
