Marvin A. Rosenblum, 80, of Chester, NJ died Tuesday September 27, 2011, at the Morristown Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Perth Amboy and lived most of his life in Fords and Edison before moving to Chester, NJ 10 years ago. Marvin was a 1950 graduate of Rutgers University. He was a self-employed entrepreneur merchant, having formerly owned Fords Hardware in Fords, N.J. He was the former CEO and President of Precision Polymers, a publicly traded company in Mountainside. He was the founding member and second president of Temple Emanu-el in Edison, the former president of the International Federation for Secular and Humanistic Judaism, and a long standing member of YPO/WPO.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Esti Rosenblum, to whom he was married for 58 years; his children: Jan E. Dragotta and her husband Frank of Marlboro, Jody B. Ostroff and her husband Michael of Summit, and Joshua D. Rosenblum and his wife Kim of NYC.; 6 grandchildren: Francis, Kyle, Max, Tess, Samuel, and Spencer; and his sister, Marcia Stillman and her husband Jack of Princeton.
Funeral services will be held Sunday October 2, 2011, at 10:00 am at Temple Emanu-el, 100 James Street, Edison, NJ. Interment will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ (732) 826-0358.
