Martina Balog (nee: Lorentzen), 86, of Pine Beach passed away on May 20, 2012, at her home. She was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Woodbridge for 30 years before moving to Pine Beach 25 years ago.

She was a twirler in high school and graduated from Perth Amboy High in 1942. Martina worked for the Woodbridge Township Board of Education as a Clerk for 25 years, retiring in 1986.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Merritt and Quentin Lorentzen. Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Alexander; sons, Peter of Marlboro, Paul and his wife Linda of Beachwood, and Perry and his wife Barbara of Howell. Also surviving are grandchildren: Krista, Laurel, Morgan, and Connor; a sister, Jane Rosko; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday May 24, 2012, at FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ, with interment to follow at Alpine Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM.
