Martin "Joe" Talty, 77, of Edison, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at home. Born in NY, NY, he had lived in Edison for 44 years.  Joe was a Floor Operations Manager for the American Stock Exchange for 39 years, retiring in 1997.  He was a graduate of Rutgers University receiving a BS in 1968; and his MBA from Fordham University, NYC, in 1972.  Joe enjoyed playing racquet ball.

Joe is survived by his wife, Theresa "Terry" Talty, to whom he was married to for 50 plus years; his two sons, Martin J. Talty of CA, and Brian M. Talty and daughter-in-law, Angela Oberhelman, of Madison; two granddaughters, Carson and Cameron; and a sister, Nora McVicker, of VA.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at 9:30 AM from FLYNN AND SON/KOYEN FUNERAL HOME, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen followed by a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial at the Transfiguration of the Lord parish at Guardian Angels Church, Edison. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery in Arneytown.
