Martha (nee:Wacker) Kwasniak, 96, of Carteret, passed peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the JFK / Hackensack Meridian Health Center in Edison.

Born in the Schonthal, Ukraine, she immigrated to the US in 1957 from Germany, settling in Jersey City, and was a former resident of Brick Twp. and Carteret.

She was a retired seamstress. Martha enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.  Martha and her late husband Zygmunt enjoyed traveling and were members of the German/American Club where they enjoyed a very active social life.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Zygmunt Kwasniak, who died in August of 2004,  her daughter in law, Jewel Kwasniak, her son in law, John Conte Jr. and her 4 siblings Leontine Pusch, Olga Yoder, Vera Schock and Johann Wacker.

She leaves behind her beloved son, Zygmunt Kwasniak, of Brick,  her 2 beloved daughters, Hannelore Pascale of South Plainfield and Irene Conte of Carteret, her 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and 4 nephews.

Visitation will be on Sun day, July 10, 2022, from 1 pm to 5 pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral services will be held on Monday,  July 11, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Bridge officiating.

Interment will immediately follow in Clover Leaf Memorial Park Woodbridge.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the St Joseph's Senior Home, 3 St. Joseph Terrace, Woodbridge , NJ 07095.
