Obituary

Marion Emily Wunder, 86, of Colonia, passed peacefully at the home of her son on Thursday morning, September 20, 2012. She was born in West New York, NJ. As a child and young adult, she resided in South Branch, NJ, where she was a member of the South Branch Reformed Church. After becoming an adult, she moved to Raritan, NJ, with her sister while her parents moved to Beach Haven, NJ. In 1951, she was married at Union Church in Ship Bottom, NJ. Afterward and up until the time of her death, she resided in Colonia, NJ. While in Colonia, she was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rahway, NJ.

She had been the Office Manager for Wunder Electric of Colonia from 1987 to the present. Prior to that she had done drafting for Lockheed Electronics of North Plainfield and Johns - Manville in Manville, leaving her work there, to raise her family. Before getting married, she worked weekends at her parent's restaurant in Beach Haven, the present day site of Sink 'R Swim.

Marion was predeceased by her husband, August Karl Wunder, who died in 1987; her sister, Florence Heintz; and her brother, John "Buddy" Miller. She is survived by her two sons: Raymond J. Wunder and his wife, Julie, of Colonia and Richard A. Wunder and his wife, Sandra, also of Colonia; her three grandchildren: Jennifer Lazewski and her husband, Christopher, of Jackson; Johanna Greenberg and her husband, Tyler Hackett, of Salt Lake City, UT; and Rachael Andrews and her husband, Joseph, of Lithia, FL; and her six great- grandchildren: Logan and Colton Lazewski, Carson Hackett, and Jolee, Rory, and Glennie Mae Andrews; her sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Evans of Hudson, WI; and her sisters-in-law, Helen Fleisch and Elsie Naab.

Funeral services will be on Monday, September 24, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Christopher Sadlo officiating at the Flynn and son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840. An Interment service will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, September 23, 2012, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
