Mario Rosario

Mario Enrique Rosario, 90, of Edison, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026 at the Carnegie Post Acute Care Center in Princeton, NJ.

He was born on November 28, 1935, in Humacao, Puerto Rico and has resided in Edison for approximately 60 years.

Mario was a well-known figure in the city of Perth Amboy, where he devoted his life to his business, Mario’s Gulf Station, which he purchased in 1968. He went on to expand his entrepreneurial footprint by purchasing several properties, including the Club 41 Tavern.

He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Candido and Modesta Rosario and his sisters, Edithwilda Santiago, Damary Bosques and Yolanda Ruiz.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of 67 years, Lourdes Rosario, his children Daniel Rosario and his wife Lauri of Monroe Township, Clarissa D'Amore of Edison, David Rosario and his wife Jeanine of East Windsor and Enrico Rosario and his wife Desiree of Woodbridge, his nine grandchildren, Stephen, Bianca, Elise, Juliette, Enrico II, Griffin, Dante, Cruz, and Valentino, his sisters Aida Casillas, Aureia Hernandez, Hilda Cardona and Aurelia "Lilly" Ayala. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 10am from the funeral home, followed by a 10:30am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Fords, NJ.

Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Woodbridge NJ.
