Marilyn Dunne, 81, of Metuchen, passed away on February, 27, 2015 at Haven Hospice in JFK Medical Center. She was born on June 18, 1933 in Newark. She has resided in Metuchen for the last 55 years. Marilyn was an Administrative Assistant for Middlesex Community College. She graduated from West Side High School in Newark, Class of 1951. She was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral. She was an avid traveler, reader and baseball fan. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family and following her grandchildren's activities.
She is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Catherine Kane.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, of 58 years, Frank Dunne of Metuchen; son, Kevin Dunne and his wife, Sue, of North Brunswick; daughter, Eileen Glincman and her husband, Bruce, of North Brunswick; four grandchildren, Colin, Jonathan, Erin and Chelsea; two sisters, Kathleen Linkin of Brick and Patricia Davis of Edison.
Visitation will be Monday 4-8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:15 am Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral. Entombment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or to the Make a wish Foundation.
