Marilyn Barrett, 86, of Metuchen, passed away at home on April 11, 2018. She was born in NYC on May 13, 1931. Marilyn was a homemaker. She graduated from Flushing High School, Class of 1948. She was a member of the Italian American Club and enjoyed ceramics. She was a warm hearted woman who brought joy to everyone she met. We will fondly remember how she enjoyed long meaningful conversations with her friends and family.

Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, John Barrett in 1997, and a sister, Eleanor Mauerer.

She is survived by two sons, John Barrett, of Carteret, and Glenn Barrett, of Metuchen; two grandchildren, J. Christian Barrett, and Dr. Joy-Lynne Carnes, and her husband, Jeremiah; two great-granddaughters, Kaylee, and Juliet; brother, Daniel Danek, and his wife, Charlotte, of Tucson, AZ., and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840, Saturday 10 am-12 noon. Services will be at 12 noon in the funeral home. Entombment will in the mausoleum at Resurrection Cemetery.

Donations in Marilyn's name may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
