Marie V. Sgromolo of Perth Amboy died on Tuesday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Connecticut and Indiana before moving back to Perth Amboy.

Marie was a communicant of Most Holy Rosary Church in Hopelawn and was a member of the Holy Rosary Seniors and Ladies' Guild.

She was predeceased by her former husband, Albert Sgromolo who died in 1997 and her sister, Joan Moran.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Nancy Sgromolo of Point Pleasant Beach and her daughters, Nancy Di Forti, with whom she resided and Marie T. Sgromolo and her husband, David Roughton of North Carolina. Also surviving are her three granddaughters, Danielle, Gina, and Danica, her brother, Louis Coley of Lexington, NC, her very dear friend, Steve Cser and several nieces nephews.
