Marie Petrick, 87 of Perth Amboy, passed away on October 9, 2015 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Though born in Linden, Marie lived in Perth Amboy most of her life. Marie and her husband, Andrew, were married for sixty-three years. Together they owned and operated the family business in Perth Amboy, Petrick's Flowers, which has served the Middlesex County community for over one-hundred years. Marie was a parishioner of Holy Spirit Church and also a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was a talented seamstress, and she enjoyed healthful eating, playing cards, and reading.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, Katherine and Anthony Lello, as well as her sister, Dorothy Granieri, and her brother, Anthony Lello.

She is survived by her husband Andrew, her son William Petrick and his wife Stefanie of Perth Amboy, her daughter Joan Petrick Contess and her husband Neil of Bernardsville, a sister, Anna Wiederkehr of Colorado, and six grandchildren, Katherine and Susan Contess, Anthony, Rose, Nicole, and Katherine Petrick. She played an important role in the lives of her grandchildren, who were her greatest source of pride, joy, and love.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 10 AM from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Interment will be in Clover Leaf Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
