Marie Mauro (nee Altilio), 94, of Spotswood, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on December 9, 1930, to Rosario and Rose Altilio.  Marie was a graduate of New Utrecht High School with the Class of 1948.  She was a Bingo and Atlantic City enthusiast.

In 1955, she married her beloved husband, Jack, to whom she was married for 57 years.  They began their lives together in Brooklyn where Marie spent her time as a Homemaker, lovingly raising their two daughters, JoAnn and Valerie.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother with a big heart and a sense of humor she generously shared with everyone.

Marie is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Turitto and her husband, Dominick, with whom she resided in Spotswood and Valerie M. Belmonte and her husband, Salvatore, of Fords; her four cherished grandchildren: Dominick (Shana) Turitto, Michael Turitto, Jillian Belmonte and her fiancé, Lance, and Madeline Belmonte; and her two great-grandchildren, Gianna and Dominick III.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.  Entombment will immediately follow in St. Gertrude Mausoleum, Colonia, NJ.
