Marie Irene Emrich 68 of Edison entered into eternal rest May 26, 2016 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Portland, Maine, and has resided in Edison most of her life.

Marie was predeceased by her daughter Maria O'Connell in 2011. She is survived by her husband Gerhard G. Emrich, her children John of Louisville, KY, Gerhard Walter, and Theresa Gundersen of Edison, her grandchildren James R. and Tanya Gundersen and Sean O'Connell, and her great granddaughter Francesca Christine Gundersen.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace R C Church in Fords. Interment will be in Clover Leaf Memorial Park. Visitation is Monday 2-6 pm.
