Marie Castelbuono, 90, of Edison, passed away on November 29, 2022, at CareOne of East Brunswick.  Born in Calabria, Italy to Nicola and Josephine Basile, Marie lived in Manhattan, and Garfield, before moving to Edison, 52 years ago.  She was a Manager at Barricini Chocolates, in NYC for many years before working for the Food Services Department at Middlesex Community College.

Marie was predeceased by her husband Simone "Sam" Castelbuono in 2005.

Marie is survived by her two children, Freddy Castelbuono and his wife, Donna and Josephine Jencsik and her husband, Douglas; two grandchildren, Michael Jencsik and his wife, Brittany and Sarah Jencsik; a great-grandson, Michael Raymond Jencsik; and two brothers, Frank Basile and his wife, Diane and John Basile and his wife, Diane.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 2 PM to 6 PM at Flynn and Son / Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen.

Funeral services will be held on, Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 9:45 AM followed by a 10:15 AM Mass at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen.  Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.
