Marianna Zajacek, 93, of Woodbridge, passed away on February 12, 2018, at Preferred Care Nursing Home in Old Bridge.  Born in Elizabeth to Nicholas and Maria Mascolo in 1924, she resided in Woodbridge for most of her life.  Marianna was a Waitress at the Rio Diner for 46 years prior to her retirement in 2002.  She also worked at The Barge in Perth Amboy and the Edison Diner.  Marianna was a member of St. James Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew P. Zajacek, Sr. (2011), to whom she was married for 67 years; her sisters, Theresa Rose and Josephine Mascolo; and her brother, John "Chic" Mascolo.   She is survived by her son, Andrew P. Zajacek, Jr.

A service will be held at the Brigadier William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ, on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 12:30 PM.
