Marian Ellen Rodecker 86, of Edison, entered into eternal rest, Monday, August 13, 2012 at the J F K Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Woodbridge, and has resided in Edison for the past 61 years.

Marian graduated in the class of 1943 from St. Mary's High School, in Perth Amboy. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R. C. Church in Fords, a member of the Altar Rosary Society, and past president of the Sodality. While her children were growing up she was an active member of the PTA in Our Lady of Peace School, and currently she was a member of the Clara Barton Seniors, in Edison.

Marian was predeceased by her husband James Thomas Rodecker in 1996, her son David Thomas Rodecker in 2003, her granddaughter Alison Michele in 2005, and her siblings William and his wife Gilda De Joy; Robert and his wife Joan De Joy; James and his wife Irene De Joy; Rita Clark and her husband William; and Jean Santacroce and her husband Thomas. She is survived by her sons John M. and his wife Lynn Rodecker of Branchburg, and Robert G. Rodecker of Edison, and her granddaughter Elizabeth Noel.

Funeral services will be held on Friday August 17, 2012 at 10 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue Fords followed by a 10:30 am funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Peace R. C. Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to the Alison M. Rodecker Memorial Scholarship Fund, C/O Flynn and Son Funeral Home.
