Marian Hendlowitch, 84, of Iselin entered into eternal rest, Thursday, October 6, 2011, at her home.

She was the beloved daughter of Mary and John Hendlowitch of Perth Amboy, having resided in Hopelawn, Fords, and West Palm Beach, Florida, before returning to Iselin last year.

Marian graduated Perth Amboy High School in 1944, Newark State Teachers College (now Kean University) in 1948, and received her Master's Degree in Education from Rutger's University in 1952, going on to teach elementary school in Metuchen for 30 years.
She was a former communicant of?Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords, a member of the Republican Party in Metuchen, and was Past President of the Metuchen Teacher's Assn. After retirement Marian and her sister, Frances, moved to Florida where she taught at St. Malachy's Catholic School and at the Sylvan School of Education.

Marian is survived by her brother, Edward and sister-in-law Elenore Hendlowitch of Cape Cod, MA; two nephews: Edward Jr. and his wife Joyce Hendlowitch of East Brunswick, and Gerald Hendlowitch and his partner Timothy Healey of Aberdeen; and two great-nephews, David and Daniel Hendlowitch of East Brunswick.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at 10:00 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, October 11, 2011, frrom 7:00-9:00 pm.
