Maria Jimenez, 88, of Perth Amboy, died on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.

Maria was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico and has resided in Perth Amboy for the past 59 years.

She is survived by her son, Juan Roman of Hampton, NJ; her three daughters: Maria Mercado of Clermont, FL, Milagros Kwiatkowski of Freehold, NJ, and Judy Rosa of Orlando, FL; her seven grandchildren, Lisa Adames and Derek Mercado of Perth Amboy, Derwin Mercado, serving in the U.S. Navy stationed in Jacksonville, FL, Pilar and Eric Kwiatkowski of Freehold, and Derek and Sisi Rosa of Orlando, FL. Also surviving are her 10 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, her 3 brothers: Jose A. Jimenez of El Paso, TX, Jose Jimenez of Orlando, FL, and Arcadio Jimenez of St. Cloud, FL; and her sister, Matilde Santiago of Puerto Rico.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Perth Amboy.
Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday June 21, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
