Maria Mercedes Diaz,88 of Hopelawn, passed away on April 19, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.

She was born in the Dominican Republic and had resided in Hopelawn for the past 15 year.

Maria was a homemaker.

She was predeceased by her husband, Juan in 2010.

Surviving are her daughters, Maria, Ana, Francia and Benerita; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and her sister, Ana Diaz.

Viewing will be on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 2-5 PM at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. A funeral service will be Monday, 11 AM. Interment will follow at Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
