Maria Ramona Aponte, 82, of Reading, PA, passed peacefully at home surrounded with the love of her family at her side on Monday, September 16, 2019.  Born April 27, 1937, in Amaceyes-Tambori, Dominican Republic, formerly of Perth Amboy, she had resided in Reading, PA, for the last five years.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Luis Humberto Aponte, whom died in 2017.

She leaves behind her six beloved children: Elis R. Francisco and her fiancé, Stephen O' Connor; Susana Lopez and her husband, Ramon; Noemi Aponte; Yris Fernandez and her husband, Carlos; Luis M. Aponte; and Luis H. Aponte and his wife, Gladys; her 14 grandchildren: Elis, Ashley, Anthony Cristal, Noel, Joel, Gabriel, Angel, Wendy, Willie, Wilson, Humbert, Christopher, and Adonis; her 3 great-grandchildren; Marianna, Anthony, Jr. and Amari; and her 7 siblings: Nidia, German, Marino, Bolivar, Altagracia "Tata", Lourdes, and Tony; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 22, 2019, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave. Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Funeral services will begin on Monday, September 23, 2019, at 9:30 am from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Hopelawn.
