Following a brief illness, Margaret Yavor, passed into the arms of her Lord on December 15 , 2020 at the Hackensack Meridian Raritan Bay Medical Center.

A lifelong resident of Perth Amboy, Margaret was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Andrejo) Yavor.  Margaret worked in a variety of jobs including as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone System and also as a sales clerk in Tarloski's Pharmacy.  Margaret took an early retirement to care for her parents and sisters; her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family.   With a keen sense of humor and a ready smile, Margaret enjoyed a quiet life in her family's home overlooking the Raritan Bay.

Margaret was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church and was active in several senior citizen groups.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, brother, George Yavor Jr., and sisters, Anna Yavor Malik, Marie Yavor and her younger sister, Sister Mary Pius (Irene) Yavor who passed just hours before Margaret.  Both sisters suffered from complications from the COVID-19 virus.

Margaret is survived by her sister-in-law Gerry Yavor, niece Venus Majeski, and devoted loving cousins, Anna Javorova, Milan Javor, Jarmila and Rado Stas.  Margaret will be long-remembered by many neighbors and friends, especially Edna Dorothy Carty-Daniel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Flynn and Sons Funeral Home, 23 Fords Avenue, Fords. To comply with pandemic restrictions, a private Service of Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Perth Amboy.  Interment will be in the St. Nicholas Parish Cemetery.
