Margaret C. Whalen Lauria's Obituary
Margaret C. Whalen Lauria, 74, of Metuchen, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.
She was born in the Bronx, NY, and has resided in Metuchen for the past 43 years. Margaret taught Art at St. Joseph's High School in Metuchen for 12 years before leaving that position in 1979.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard J. Lauria, in 1986 and her son, Richard, in 1992. She is survived by her children: Mark Lauria of Metuchen, Rachel Lauria and her partner Veronica Lenon of Toms River, and Karen Corum and her husband Wayne of Metuchen; her grandchildren, Jackson and Asia; and her siblings: Elizabeth Whalen of Bronx, NY, Martha Whalen of Ossining, NY, James Whalen of NY state, and Richard Whalen of Arizona.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at 10:00 am at the Flynn and Son/ Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, from 6:00-8:00 pm.
