Obituary

Private funeral services were held yesterday for Margaret Sutkowski, 89, of Colonia, who died Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison after a long illness.

Formerly of Perth Amboy, Margaret moved to Colonia 60 years ago. She was the owner and operator of the Raritan Deli on Raritan St. in Sayreville for 20 years, before retiring in 1977. She was a lifetime member of St. Michael's Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Perth Amboy.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward Sutkowski; her daughter, Margaret Sutkowski of Manahawkin; her 3 grandchildren, Margaret Stacie Hutchinson and her husband Burchard, of Knoxville,TN; Kristin Elizabeth, and Kaitlin Jean Corrigan both of Manahawkin; her 3 great- grandchildren: Margaret Eden, Burchard Luke, and Victoria Eve Hutchinson all of Knoxville, TN; her devoted brother, William J. Vigh of Colonia; and dear goddaughter, JoAnn Jupinka of Ford; also survivng are many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were under the direction of the FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Interment was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Hopelawn.
