Margaret Surik Mizenko, 87, of Fords entered into eternal rest January 14, 2011.
She was born in Fords and lived there most of her life. Margaret was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords. She was a former member of the St. Joseph's Guild and former volunteer at the Raritan Bay Medical Center. Throughout her life, Margaret worked at a variety of businesses. These included: Raritan Sportswear and General Cable in Perth Amboy, Richmond Radiator, General Ceramics, Frigid Freeze, Perth Amboy Savings Bank, and Raritan Bay Medical Center. She was a loving mother and always put her children first. Upon retirement, Margaret enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe with her husband and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Theodore J. in 1997, brothers Stephen Surik and John Surik and his wife Pat, and her son-in-law, John W. Hogan. Surviving are her 2 loving daughters, Christine V. Marcello of Boonton and Joyce M. Hogan of North Brunswick, 5 adoring grandchildren: Francine E., Sheila C., and Bobbie Anne Marcello; and Patrick J. and Caitlin M. Hogan, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011, at 10:00 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Friends are welcomed to call on Sunday, January 16, from 2:00-6:00 pm.
