Margaret E. Krauss, 100, of Fords, passed away on March 29, 2015, at Bayshore Community Hospital. She was born May 13, 1914, in Hudson, Michigan. Margaret had resided in Fords for the last 55 years. She graduated from St. Rita's Nursing School in Lima, Ohio. She received her BA from Jersey City State College. She was a Registered Nurse, working as the Nursing Supervisor at Perth Amboy General Hospital. She served in the US Army Nursung Corps during WWII as a 1st. Lieutenant. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Margaret loved to play cards with her grandchildren and spend time with family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Krauss, and several sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Rita Peter and her husband, Hubert, of Locust, NJ; three sons, Michael J. Krauss and his wife, Julie, of Bloomfield Hills, MI; James T. Krauss and his wife, Mary Ann, of Spotsylvania, VA; Henry J. Krauss and his wife, Niki, of Charlston, SC; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday 8-10 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave, Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin Wednesday at 10 am followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
