Margaret R. Cheche, 89, of Hamilton, a longtime resident of Metuchen, passed peacefully at her home, with the love of her family at her side, on Wednesday August 26, 2015.
Born in Slovan, PA, moved to Perth Amboy, where she was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, then married the love of her life, Samuel Cheche, after WWII.
She moved to Metuchen where she and her husband, Sam built their home at 5 Central Ave. where she resided for the next 55 years, before moving to Hamilton in 2005.
She was a long time secretary for Gulton Industries in Metuchen and worked for the Boy Scouts of America. She had been a long time member of the Metuchen Little League, Ladies Auxilliary, and a member of the Italian American Civic Organization. Margaret was a lifelong communicant of St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen and will always be remembered as a dedicated mother, devoted to her family and her home.
Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband, Samuel Cheche who died in 1998 and her siblings, Steven and Michael Krall, Arabelle Mackey and Mary (Bea) Sullivan.
She leaves behind her beloved son, Thomas S. Cheche and his wife Karen, of Jessup, MD and her beloved daughter, Joan M. Rosolowsky and her husband, Michael of Hamilton, her four grandchildren, Timothy S. Cheche of Westminister, MD, Casey Alexis of Yulee, FL, Alex J. and Derek M. Rosolowsky, both of Hamilton, her three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Corinna (CJ) and Jordan., also surviving are her many nieces and nephews, along with her dearest friend, Alice Cronin of North Brunswick and her dedicated caregiver, Marie Mitchell of Ewing.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 4 pm to 8 pm, at the Flynn and son / Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave. Metuchen, NJ 08840.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 9:45 a.m. from the Flynn and son/Koyen Funeral Home, with a 10:15 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St Francis Cathedral Metuchen, an entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum, Piscataway.
