Marga Schmidt Dworak peacefully passed during the evening of Monday, March 31, 2025.  She was 92.

Born in Germany, Marga was the daughter of the late Adam and Anna Schmidt. She emigrated to the United States in 1955.  Not long after settling in the Fords area she spent time as a "candy striper" at the then Perth Amboy General Hospital. She later went on to work in sales at Walter Bauman Jewelers in Edison where she retired in 2005 after over 21 years of service.  Marga also worked for the Greenwood Manor in Iselin as a Hostess/Manager for over 20 years.

Marga enjoyed music, and loved to dance. She delighted in the opportunities she had to travel, enjoy fine dining, and dabble in the "finer things in life."  Simply, she loved "fun."

In addition to her parents, Marga is preceded in death by her son Walter A. Dworak, Jr., and her brothers August, Dieter, and Karl-Heinz Schmidt. She will live on in the memories of her daughter Sue Bonavita and her husband Rosario; her son Kurt B Dworak; grandchildren Sandra Pannullo, her husband Carmine, Jr., Johnny Manganaro, and Maria Manganaro; and her great-grandchildren Brianna and Carmine Pannullo, III and Gia Manganaro.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 3:00pm –7:00pm at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Cremation will take place privately.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Marga's memory to the ASPCA (www.aspca.org).
