Manuela Cruz, 85, of Orlando, FL, formerly of Perth Amboy, NJ, passed peacefully on Friday August 8, 2014 at the Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne, FL. She was born in Puerto Rico and was a 78 year resident of Perth Amboy, before moving to Orlando FL 6 years ago.

Manuela was a formerly employed with the Fedders Corp. in Edison, NJ. and was a former communicant of La Asuncion R.C. Church in Perth Amboy. Manuela enjoyed crocheting and making dolls clothes and was known to make beautiful dresses.

She was predeceased by her infant son, Anthony Tirado and her beloved parents, Julio Cruz and Modesta Torres, her dear brothers, Juan Cruz Torres and Sammy and Victor Cruz. Manuela leaves behind her beloved sister, Isabel Cruz, with whom she resided in Orlando, FL, her sister in law, Maria Cruz Orosco, many nieces and nephews and her dear goddaughter, Esther Torres of East Meadow, MA.

Funeral will be on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave. Perth Amboy, NJ 08861, followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at La Asuncion Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning one hour prior to the funeral from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
