Manuel Batan, 83, of Perth Amboy died January 24, 2011, at Amboy Care Center.

Born January 8,1928 in Esmeralda, Cuba, he resided in Perth Amboy since 1970. Manuel owned and operated the Batan Furnature Store in Perth Amboy.

Manuel was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen, who died in 2008. He is survived by his two dauthers: Alina Garcia and her husband Wilfredo of Hamilton,
NJ and Susana Parrales of North Brunswick; five grandchildren: Nicholas, Carlos, and Diana Garcia; and Samuel and Daniel Parrales; his sister, Maria Batan and her husband Julio of Perth Amboy; three nieces: Sonia and
Mabel Guerra and Nayda Batan; and nephew, Mario Consuegra.

Mourners may gather at FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 424 East Avenue, Pert Amboy, on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 10:00 am. A 11:00 am Chapel service is scheduled at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 28th, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm.
