Lynn Venesco Rodecker of Branchburg, NJ, died on August 4, 2013, in White Sand Harbour, Virginia, at the age of 63. Lynn was born in New Brunswick, NJ, on October 14, 1949. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Perth Amboy, NJ, where she met her husband, Jack, in 1967. She also attended Raritan Valley Community College.
Lynn worked as a Legal Secretary for several prestigious law firms including Wilentz, Goldman and Spitzer whose partners included former New Jersey Attorney General, David T. Wilentz and former New Jersey Chief Supreme Court Justice, Robert N. Wilentz. Lynn left the field of law in 1981 in order to give birth to and raise her daughter, Alison, who was the love of her life. During this time Lynn became active as a parent in the Branchburg Public Schools and taught religious classes at Holy Trinity Parish in Bridgewater. Lynn returned to the world of work in the 1990's where she became an Assistant Librarian with the Somerset County Public Library System. Lynn was always an avid reader which served as an asset in her new position. Lynn retired from the Library following the pre-mature death of her daughter, Alison, in 2005. Thereafter, Lynn's health continued to deteriorate. She died in White Sand Harbour in the vacation home she loved on August 4th.
Lynn is survived by her husband; sisters, Patricia Bishop of Centreville and Kinsale, Virginia; Mary Joan Venesco of Highland Park, NJ; and brother, Richard Venesco of East Windsor, NJ.
A Memorial Service will be held for Lynn at 1:00 p.m. on September,13 at the Mausoleum Chapel at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway, NJ.
