Lynda Downey (Mama Lynnie), 70, of Fords, passed unexpectedly on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the Kindred Hospital in Rahway, NJ. There was no one more family-oriented than Lynda. Her parents meant the world to her & Mady was the light of her life. The bond with her girls was unbreakable. She enjoyed her frequent Atlantic City trips with her husband, Eddie, and her summer Wildwood family vacations.
She was pre-deceased by her beloved son, Jonathan Downey, who died in August of 2007 and her parents, John and Lucille Banias, who died in 2020.
Lynda leaves behind, her beloved husband of 38 years, Eddie; her beloved daughter, Kristin Scott, of Brick and her husband Bob; her dear granddaughter, Alexx Watson, and her boyfriend, Bryan Valverde whom lived with her; and most importantly, her great-granddaughter, Mady. Lynda is also survived by her only brother, Jack Banias and her sister-in-law, Maureen, of Toms River. She was "The Favorite Aunt" to many nieces & nephews.

If you knew Lynda, you knew her love for animals. She loved her dogs, especially "Roxy" who she's now reunited with.
She always looked forward to feeding the deer & birds in her backyard, they became like pets to her.
