Luz M. Flores, 79, of Avenel, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

Born and raised in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to Martin and Maria Aponte, Luz was one of eight children and has lived in New Jersey for over 60 years.

Beloved wife of the late Rafael Flores, who predeceased her in 2010. Loving mother of Maribel Flores, Luis Flores, Elizabeth Flores, Edwin Flores and Wilfredo Flores. Cherished grandmother of 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Luz is predeceased by six of her siblings and survived by one brother.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy. All will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9:00am and proceed to Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Perth Amboy for the Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Alpine Cemetery in Perth Amboy.
