Luis A.
Perez Jimenez
March 26, 1959 – October 14, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Luis Perez-Jimenez, age 66, who departed this life on October 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on March 26, 1959, Luis was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy was spending time with his family. He took immense pride in watching his children and grandchildren grow, always offering love, guidance, and laughter that will be remembered forever.
Luis lived a life of dedication and service—both to his community and to those in need. His commitment to helping others was matched only by his warmth and generosity. He was admired for his strong work ethic, kind spirit, and unwavering sense of duty.
Professionally, Luis served with distinction as a Professional Civil Engineer. For nearly 27 years, he was a valued member of Middlesex Water Company, joining in 1998 as General Superintendent and later serving as Director of Operations, USA-PA, and most recently as Senior Director of Operations. Luis was a professional engineer, an MBA, held New Jersey's highest-level water treatment, water distribution, and wastewater collection system operators licenses, and had a lifelong passion for learning.
Throughout his distinguished career, Luis exemplified integrity, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. As Middlesex Water Company's lead representative serving the City of Perth Amboy, he earned the highest respect from municipal and state officials, contractors, vendors, and colleagues alike. His deep technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and calm leadership consistently delivered sound solutions to complex infrastructure challenges. Above all, he approached every task with honesty, dedication, and a genuine desire to do what was right—for both the City of Perth Amboy and Middlesex Water Company. His leadership and friendship will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jenny (Batista) Perez; his loving children, Stephanie Perez, Kevin Perez, and Destiny Perez; and his treasured grandchildren, Sophia, Mia, and Emilia. He is also survived by his father, Flor Perez , and his siblings, Miguel E. Perez-Jimenez, Ruben W. Perez-Jimenez, Alberto Perez-Jimenez, Gilbert A. Perez-Jimenez, Osvaldo Casablanca-Jimenez, Sandro Perez-Jimenez, Nelida D. Perez-Jimenez, Efran F. Rodriguez-Jimenez, Beverly Perez, and Kenny Perez., as well as many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
