Luis C. Martinez, 94, of Perth Amboy, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Rahway Hospital. He was born in Placetas, Cuba on February 14, 1931. Luis was the Owner/Operator of a Mr. Softee Ice Cream Truck and worked for Fedders Air Conditioning Corp. and The Barge. He was a very social person, enjoying spending time with family and friends. Luis was a fan of the NY Yankees and Mets.

He was predeceased by his wife of over 60 years, Dionisia Martinez in 2025; two sisters, Dora Gonzalez and Olga De La Cruz.

Luis is survived by three sons: Luis Martinez, of Perth Amboy; Victor Martinez, of Perth Amboy, and Jorge Martinez, and his wife, Brenda, of Colonia; three grandchildren: Jonathan M. Martinez, Justin L. Martinez and Brandon A. Martinez; and a sister, Edilia Isabel Martinez Reyes, of Kendall, FL.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861 from 4-8 pm. Funeral Services will begin Monday 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery.
