Louise Santamaria, 88, formerly of Hopelawn, passed away on January 10, 2012, at Hunterdon Care Center, Flemington. Louise was born January 29, 1923, in Carteret and resided in Hopelawn from 1952-1998 when she moved to Flemington. She was a homemaker. Louise was a member of the Hopelawn Senior Citizens, Ladies Auxiliary Hopelawn VFW 1352, and a Girl Scout leader of Troop 233, Hopelawn.

She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1986; her parents, Joseph and Rose Sefcik; and five sisters: Anna Chaloka, Helen Moritko, Josephine Mickley, Mary D'Zurilla, and Irene Kovacs. Surviving is a daughter, Carolyn Dritschel and her husband Robert of Flemington; two grandchildren, Amanda and Adam; and sister, Pauline Pelc of Carteret.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ with a 9:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at Holy Spirit RC Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012, from 6:00-9:00 PM.
