Louise A. Rusek, 97 a life long resident of Fords, NJ passed peacefully at her home on Sunday morning, December 8, 2024.

She was born on March 25, 1927, in the Keasbey section of Woodbridge Twp., NJ, to William and Hedwig (Schmidt) Klein. She grew up in the Keasbey and married Stanley Rusek at the age of 22, and moved to Perth Amboy, NJ for 3 years. She purchased a duplex in the Fords section of Woodbridge Twp., while starting her family and had resided there ever since, for over 71 years.

She and her husband owned and operated the Gay 90's Tavern in South Amboy, NJ until they both retired in their 50's.

She enjoyed going to Atlantic City,  doing word puzzles, and taking walks and talking to friends.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanley Rusek, who died in 1998, and her son, Paul Rusek, who died in 2019, and her son-in-law, Michael Gianfrancesco, who died in 2020.

She was the last of 6 siblings, consisting of five brothers and a sister.

She leaves behind her two beloved daughters, Julie Longberg, who was the caregiver for her mother for many years, and her husband John, of Fords, and Diane Gianfrancesco, of Spring Hill, Florida, her four grandchildren; Jeff, James, Sara, and Daniele, and her 5 great grandchildren; Chase, Ryker, Tyler, Olivia, and Ember. Also, the family would also like to acknowledge and give special thanks to Laura Soltesz for the wonderful care and compassion she bestowed upon our mother for the last 4 years.


A funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday morning, December 12, 2024, at 10:30 am, at Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords.

Interment will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Keasbey.
