Louise Margaret (nee: Szczerba) Herber, 77, of Edison, passed peacefully on Saturday morning, February 3, 2024, with her beloved husband at her side.

She was born on September 8, 1946 in Perth Amboy and had resided in Edison Twp. since 1974.

She was received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Newark State College.

She retired in 2007 from the Colonia Middle School, after 39 years as a school teacher for the Woodbridge Twp. Board of Education, where she was once named "Teacher of the Year".

She was a communicant of St Francis Cathedral in Metuchen.

Louise is predeceased by her beloved parents Anthony P., & Helen Szczerba.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Anthony F Herber, her sister, Antoinette Berlingieri and her husband John of Edison, her brother-in-law, Joseph Herber of Fords, her two goddaughters, Silvia Hekl of Northvale, NJ and Danielle Silverstein of Rumson and her godson John Berlingieri, Jr. also surviving are several nieces, nephews and a great-niece and great-nephew.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 3 pm to 8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 9:30 am from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home followed by a 10:15 am Funeral Liturgy at St Francis Cathedral, Metuchen. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
