Louise M. Filliger, 99, of Edison, passed peacefully on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at the Haven Hospice Unit of JFK Medical Center in Edison.  Born in Hanover, Germany, she was formerly of Newark and resided in Edison for the past 20 years.    She was an avid Bingo player, loved visiting Atlantic City, had a love for life and her family.

Louise was predeceased by her husband, Harold, in 1992; her son-in-law, Laszlo "Larry" Karpati in 2010; and her sister, Ann Edgely.

She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Karpati of Edison and Carol A. Filo and her husband, Michael, of Manchester; her 8 grandchildren:  Larry, Lisa, David,  Lorie, Michael Jr, Kathleen, Kenneth and Karen; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandson, Jacob. She also leaves behind several nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, December 28, 2015, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.  Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015, from 2-4 pm only at the funeral home.
