Louis M. Brescia, 84, of Fords, passed away on July 10, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Orange, Louis was a resident of Fords for 43 years. He retired in 1992, after 40 years from AT&T as an Installer. Louis served his country proudly during the Korean War, serving in the Army. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace. Louis was also a member of the Fords-Keasbey Seniors, Good Shepherd Parish Seniors, AARP of Woodbridge, Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of Peace, VFW of Fords and the American Legion in Iselin.
Louis is survived by his wife of 48 years, Amoure Brescia; his sons, Michael Brescia and his wife Alejandra of AZ and Keith Brescia of Frenchtown; his granddaughter Karina and his brother Gus Brescia and sister-in-law Lourdes of CO.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 10 am from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, followed by a 10:30 am Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Interment will be in Brigadier William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery, Wrightstown. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 2-4 pm only at the funeral home.
